A man travelling on a bus has been stabbed after confronting another passenger who had his feet on the seats, police have said.

Detectives have issued a picture of a man they want to speak to after the victim, aged in his 50s, was attacked on a bus in south London.

The victim was on a Route 64 bus in Croydon when a man got on and sat with his feet on the seats, shortly after 3am on 4 June.

After confronting the man, the victim was stabbed a number of times in the leg, the Metropolitan Police said.

The suspect left the bus at East Croydon train station.

The injured man went to hospital where he was treated for his injuries and police were called.
