An 11-year-old child has been arrested over disorder in Middlesbrough during the UK riots, police have said.

Cleveland Police said officers had detained a further 14 people in connection with the disorder on Sunday 4 August.

"Teams of officers headed out this morning to target those believed to be involved in the disorder," the force said.

"The ages of those arrested were between 11 years old and 43 years old."

The 11-year-old is thought to be the youngest person arrested over the disorder that followed the Southport stabbings.
