Pregnant archer Jodie Grinham has claimed gold in the mixed team compound final to add to her individual bronze from Saturday.

The 31-year-old triumphed with Nathan Macqueen in a 155-151 win over Iran. A perfect score of 40 in the final end secured the title for the pair.

The gold tops the silver Grinham won in the same event at the 2016 Rio games.

It's also the second Paris medal for Grinham - who's seven months pregnant - after she edged out fellow Brit Phoebe Paterson Pine for bronze in Saturday's individual compound event.

That third place followed several days in a Paris hospital thinking she could be going into labour early.

She's believed to be the first openly pregnant woman to win a Paralympic medal.

Grinham, who is originally from Haverfordwest in Wales but lives in Crawley, said she had practised what to do in case her baby moves while she's aiming.

"My coach and I spent a long time doing little pregnancies preps - of her moving me and moving the bump so I could get use to that feeling," said Grinham.

"I would be at full draw and would feel that sensation.

"You acknowledge it and go 'I know you're there, mummy loves you' and you carry on with your process, so it wasn't a distraction."

Grinham has a condition called Brachysyndactyly. She has a shortened left arm, underdeveloped left shoulder, no fingers and half a thumb on her left hand.
