Two men have been arrested after a man was fatally stabbed in Glasgow at the weekend.

Police Scotland said Brian Gough, 27, was found injured in Saracen Street, Possil, at around 5pm on Saturday.

Emergency services attended but Mr Gough, from Springburn in the city, later died at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

An investigation was launched following the completion of a post-mortem examination.

Two men, aged 26 and 36, were arrested on Tuesday in connection with Mr Gough's death.

A Police Scotland spokesperson added: "Enquiries are ongoing."
