A man has died in hospital after a stabbing at a block of flats in Aberdeen.

Jacek Dembinski, 44, was found with serious injuries outside Rosehill Court at about 4.30pm on Tuesday.

Mr Dembinski, from the city, was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, where he died on Thursday.

In a statement released through Police Scotland, his family said: "Jacek was a much-loved son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and stepfather.

"He will be greatly missed by all. We ask for our privacy as a family to be respected at this difficult time."

A 43-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with Mr Dembinski's death.

The suspect is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today.
